We are currently looking for a Mechanical Craftsperson to join our Maintenance Team.  This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Mansfield and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, as our Mechanical Craftsperson will be responsible for carrying out scheduled, planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to maintain plant condition and performance to support the delivery of the weekly maintenance schedule. Monitor and maintain condition and performance of all Lime section processing plants and associated equipment and identify any circumstances that could result in an impact on availability or performance while supporting the Mechanical Supervisor to meet defined reliability KPI targets.

They will also be responsible for carrying out mechanical activities as specified by Engineering Reliability Team and lead mechanical breakdown and break-in repairs to ensure expected plant reliability and to optimise plant and equipment performance. Most effective mean time to repair methods to be adopted to minimise production disruption and downtime.

The successful applicant will also need to be flexible to support the maintenance team in the delivery of the weekly maintenance schedule and react to any unplanned plant downtime in a timely manner both during and outside normal working hours.

We are currently looking for a Engineering Inspections Coordinator  to join our Engineering Team.  This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Mansfield and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as our Engineering Inspections Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing an effective service for both Statutory and Non-statutory Inspections, thus ensuring site buildings and process plant structures, statutory plant fixed assets, personal use and safety related equipment remain secure, safe to operate and fit for intended purpose.

You will also be responsible for the development, implementation, review and amendment of inspection and reporting procedures to ensure compliance with both company policy and UK national regulatory standards.

You will also manage the budgetary, health, safety and welfare of the department, visiting engineers and contractors under your control.

The role of  Engineering Inspections Coordinator is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires the following  qualifications:

  • Qualifications – Time-served, ideally with HNC or NVQ equivalent in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline.
  • Qualifications or Experience in previous roles relating to the following disciplines would be considered where the above criteria are not fully met or as being desirable additional skills –

Lifting Equipment, Structural (process plant or buildings), Pressure Systems, Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and other safety or inspection related disciplines.

  • NEBOSH General Certificate holder would also be seen as desirable.

To adopt and deploy maintenance planning methods in line with the Lime Maintenance Strategy and to utilise CMMS to develop WO task steps, estimate resource requirements and assign required equipment/materials/spares necessary to enable efficient and safe maintenance activities to be completed in line with company and technical standards.

The role will support the electrical and mechanical maintenance teams in planned and reactive circumstances to ensure all required materials and spares are available to allow effective execution of tasks while minimising repair times.

Support the Lime stores function to ensure that the correct parts are requested for planned activities and booked to the relevant W/O’s and PM schedules. Ensure that all parts used during breakdown and out of hours occasions are recorded, booked out and the relevant information passed on to the stores function for inventory management.

To offer professional input, provide engineering solutions and apply planning processes to day-to- day maintenance, major maintenance outages and CAPEX projects to support Reliability Team performance.

Developing processes with site support functions to deliver robust organisation and workplace standards and to support the management all site storage areas and storage processes.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Electrician  to join our Tunstead Plant.  This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Mansfield and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Electrical lead, as our Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for undertaking plant maintenance, repairs and improvements to ensure maximum reliability of all plant associated areas and to assist team members in all aspects of plant operation.

Your responsibilities as the Maintenance Electrician will include:

  • Respond to plant breakdowns, when necessary and be responsible for the correct and efficient repair of equipment keeping downtime to a minimum with timely and safe adherence to the maintenance plan whilst complying to all relevant statutory legislation and the internal company Safety, Health and Environmental standards,
  • Continue to improve plant performance whilst maintaining safety, maintenance and asset reliability,
  • Contribute to the in-house development of the Computer Maintenance Management System,
  • In support of the maintenance and operations functions, you will utilise documents, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated guidelines for the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment within the Electrical Engineering department as appropriate.

The role of  Maintenance Electrician  is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires:

  • ESSENTIAL – Level 3 Apprentice trained Electrician and  ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering,
  • 17th Edition – BS7671 I.E.E Regulations and Legislation as a minimum, with 18th Edition preferred,
  • Have experience of TPM methodology and Continuous Improvement,
  • Working knowledge of relevant electrical and control engineering maintenance principles and practices, and experience of working in a relevant heavy engineering industry,
  • Working knowledge and experience of Industrial Low Voltage power distribution systems,
  • A good working understanding of PLC’s and the use of the associated tools and techniques for the interrogation of the software,
  • Knowledge and understanding the operation of AC Drives and Motors,
  • Knowledgeable in Predictive Maintenance,
  • Experience in working with a Computer Maintenance Management System,
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis tools/techniques,
  • Understands database systems as relevant to planned maintenance and logging of shift activities,
  • Able to design simple electrical systems and draw schematic diagrams then transfer the information into practical use,
  • Know how to perform electrical statutory tests and inspections and understand safe use of electrical test and measuring instruments,
  • An understanding of mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics and understand National and International codes and symbols used on drawings and specifications,
  • Ability to learn Health and Safety rules applicable to each department regarding their own and other operators’ safety.
