We are currently looking for a Lime Administrator/Receptionist to join our Tunstead team. This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Mansfield and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the HR & Training Manager, as our Lime Administrator/Receptionist, you will be responsible for the manning of the reception desk in our Head Office covering reception and administration duties including facilities management of our building. In addition, a key function of the role is to provide efficient, high quality, confidential administrative support to the Lime Director and HR & Training Manager.

Your responsibilities as the Lime Administrator/Receptionist will include:

  • Be the first point of contact within the Head Office
  • Manage and implement the electronic sign in system with all employees and visitors
  • Screen and direct incoming calls as appropriate
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and colleagues
  • Diary and meeting room management and coordination
  • Coordination of conferences, corporate entertainment and functions as required
  • Provide effective administrative support
  • Travel management support for employees and visitors to site
  • Devise and maintain office systems including data management and filing
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post
  • Be the main point of contact for all office facilities management, repairs and liaison with
    the landlord.
  • Fire alarm testing and coordination of fire marshal responsibilities within the Head
    Office

The role of Lime Administrator/Receptionist is a varied and rewarding position that requires:

  • Functional experience in administration
  • Advanced level of competence in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook and Power
    Point

Main Responsibilities

Lead the Lime Production and Maintenance teams, ensuring continuous improvement of health & safety and operational efficiency on site, developing a zero-harm culture and the technical competencies and behaviours required to achieve and sustain world class standards of lime manufacture. Set standards of operation that ensure compliance with legal and environmental permit requirements or better. Ensure production across all plants is balanced to meet sales requirements and optimised to achieve the most cost-effective production. Meet or exceed budget requirements and operational targets whilst adhering to business policies.

Your responsibilities as the Lime Plant Manager will include:

  • Active leadership and management of safety, health and environmental processes and culture to minimize hazard, risk and unsafe events across Lime operations.
  • Ensure the team identify operational performance losses (e.g. OEE, energy cost and raw materials cost) and actions required to address shortfalls.
  • Continuously drive to achieve benchmark performance.
  • Management of production plans to ensure that high levels of customer supply are maintained whilst optimising production costs.
  • As a minimum ensure the production operations meet or exceed the requirements of the Tunstead and Hindlow Environmental permit, through active management of the ISO 14001 system.
  • Continuous reduction of All Injury Frequency Rate towards “zero harm”. Metrics within target parameters. Matching sales demand and working to the production forecast.
  • Environmental compliance.
  • Manage Lime operation in line with the Lime ISO9001 management system.
  • Maintain adherence to system procedures & identify root causes to gaps in product quality.
  • Identify capital investment to drive continuous business improvement, compliance with safety and environmental legislation and product quality.
  • To recruit and develop the Lime Production & Maintenance teams. To identify and nurture talent and anticipate future manning needs.
  • To manage teams against budgets, providing challenge and accountability to others.
  • Member of the Lime Business Team and input into business strategy to meet long term business

The role of Lime Plant Manager is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideally Education to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrable success at an operational management level in a similar continuous process plant environment. ·
  • At least 5 years’ experience of managing large multi-functional operations teams in a similar Heavy Industry, Process operations environment. ·
  • A sound and practical knowledge of kiln, grinding and hydrating processes. ·
  • Strong record of experience in SHE and Quality Assurance management. ·
  • Experience of managing production teams within a lean manufacturing framework. ·
  • Experience in setting challenging goals, establishing and managing against KPIs

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong problem solver. ·
  • The ability to coach and performance manage a team, lead change and deliver through others. ·
  • Knowledge of HSE and EA regulations relevant to quarrying and combustion processes. ·
  • The ability to analyse, understand and communicate complex concepts for others to absorb. ·
  • Ability to identify trends and suggest actions required. ·
  • The ability to set high standards for others to manage their own teams too
