Lime plays an important part in many processes of the healthcare and medical products industry.
Soda lime is commonly used for medicinal purposes, in particular Soda lime plays a vital role in medical procedures and medical products . Lime is used to remove carbon dioxide during general anaesthesia. Away from the operating table, lime soda is used in its granular form in diving rebreathers, submarines and recompression chambers to prevent CO2 retention from breathing gases.
We also offer another product, hydrated lime (calcium hydroxide), which is used for the synthesis of calcium hydroxyapatite, which is used to produce synthetic bone for coating onto orthopaedic implants.
