Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)

The electric arc furnaces (EAF) process represents approximately 30% of world steel production. This process is used to produce steel from scrap. The heat produced from the arc melts the scrap and our high purity Calbux quicklime is added to produce a slag to remove sulphur and other impurities.
